Dr. Ashlee Andrews - Owner
Dr. Ashlee Andrews was born and raised here in Albuquerque. She attended the University of New Mexico for her undergraduate studies and was a member of the Lobo track and cross-country teams.

Dr. Jenny Sprott-Smith - Medical Director
Dr. Jenny Sprott-Smith is a very proud graduate of Clemson University. She attended Mississippi State University for veterinary school and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013.

Dr. Rachel Barnes
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Dr. Rachel Barnes received her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 2013.

Dr. Silvia Rodriguez
Dr. Rodriguez studied biology at the University of New Mexico. She attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and graduated in 2005. Dr. Rodriguez has a special interest in multimodal pain management as well as senior/geriatric care.

Dr. Danielle Dawkins
Dr. Danielle Dawkins received her veterinary degree from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She completed her undergraduate studies at New Mexico State University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2005 with her bachelor’s degree in animal science.

Dr. Clara Hansen
Dr. Clara Hansen was originally born in Würzburg, Germany and moved to Las Cruces at a young age. She always had a passion for helping animals and started working in veterinary clinics while in high school where her love for veterinary medicine started.

Dr. Niccolett Ochoa
Dr. Niccolett Ochoa is a New Mexico native, born and raised in Albuquerque. She made her way to Ohio State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.

Dr. Karen Slack
Dr. Karen Slack graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Dr. Slack practices small animal medicine and surgery.

Maygann Durrich - Practice Manager
Maygann was born and raised in New Mexico and has always had a love for veterinary medicine. She graduated with an Associates in Veterinary Technology in 2017, and was a Registered Veterinary Technician for six years before beginning her new role as Practice Manager.

Andrew Tuma - Lead Technician
Andrew has been in the veterinary field since 2011. He attended CNM’s Veterinary Technology program to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Prior to becoming the lead tech at Rio Bravo, he worked at Blue Cross Animal Clinic for 9 ½ years.

Jennipher Jones - Lead CSR
Jennipher received her Bachelors degree in Business Management in 2014. With more than 20 years of customer service experience paired with her love of animals she began her career in 2015 in the field of veterinary medicine as a client relations manager.
